The Riverside County Office of Education’s Center for Teacher Innovation (formerly RIMS-BTSA) accelerates student achievement by preparing new teachers for the classroom and their teaching environment, through our one-to-one seasoned coaches and customized, common-core aligned, job-embedded, accredited intern and induction credential solutions.
The Center for Teacher Innovation leads a large Induction Program consortium of four county offices of education (Riverside, Inyo, Mono, and San Bernardino), two institutions of higher education (California State University, San Bernardino and University of California, Riverside), and over 100 additional participating agencies across California, including public school districts, charter schools, private schools, the California School of the Deaf, Riverside and the California Education Authority. The program annually serves approximately 2,000 teachers within the state of California.
We know from experience that “one size” doesn’t fit every teacher or every teaching environment. Each school district, charter school and private school has its own unique culture. At the same time, teachers, schools, and districts alike strive for the same goal - to accelerate student achievement and capture the best practices needed to help students excel in today’s world.
The Center for Teacher Innovation aligns the journey to becoming an outstanding teacher with the teaching environment and culture, so that the student and the teacher excel on every level.
